Wallasey

Wallasey is a mainly residential area of the Wirral, which has Liscard as it's main town centre, for local busses and shopping. It also has New Brighton on the north coast which is also at the entrance to the river Mersey. ( see map )

In its 'Hey Day', New Brighton was a magnate for holiday makers with its sandy beaches and amusements, loved by families from all over the North West of England.

Since these long lost balmy days of summer, and since foreign travel has now become so easy, New Brighton has become a little sleepy coastal town. It has now also become a retirement haven for those people who like the quiet life.

There are very little areas of Wallasey involved in industry and those that are, are usually to be found around the docks area.
