Next visit again on 19th September 2005.

We could not resist returning to the Riu Merengue again for another 2 weeks of sunshine and pure laziness, good food, plenty of drinks and wonderful staff.

Meet the Animacion Team for 2002 who put on the evening entertainment for the Hotel Riu Merengue at Bahia Maimon beach, on the North of the Dominican Republic for this year.

As in 2001, Diela, Francisco, Bobby and Tomas are still here with the addition of the following members of the team.

In the Bars: - Macumba, La Plaza and La Rumba were some of the Bar staff as follows: -

In the Restaurant : -

One of the Bell boys/Porters was Rafael.

There are so many staff at this fine hotel that there is no way I can put them all up here but suffice to say, they are all stars for making our holiday what it was.

In the La Roca Dining room at dinner each evening, carvings can always be seen from the kitchen, made in fruit, and here are just 3 of them. mainly in Melons or Butter Nut Squash. : -

And in our apartment, the maids always left a calling card with scupltures of swans with our towels, as seen here : -

Not forgetting the wildlife in abundance. Such as this Pickafleur, A small finch nesting by the main hall. : -
