The Merseyside "Sparrows"
It is with sadness that I have to report: - At our monthly meeting
on 16th October 2002 it was decided by all the members that the "Merseyside
Branch of the Royal Naval Patrol Service Assocciation" should be disbanded.
As the Chairman and Treasurer have crossed the bar and 4 other
members this year, the Secretary was doing most of the work, the youngest member
being 76 years old and membership fading away to the great Minesweeper in the
sky.
The Branch 'Standard' will be laid up at one of three
places and when this has been decided, the news will be here!
All the remaining members of the "Sparrows" can still
be contacted here on the web site by e-mail as shown below.

At the Wallasey Royal Naval Association club every monday, the 'Sparrows'
meet in the 'nest' in the club when it is the members social evening. Invariable
the mainbrace is spliced on these occasions and members have a nice convivial
evening.
Any information for the sparrows will be passed to shipmates on these mondays.
Any of the members can be contacted at this site by with: -.gif)
